Today is the first advent sunday. Time to light the frist candle! Let’s open door number 3!

It is …..drum roll…..


This is one of my favorite christmas cookies my auntie made. Mmmmhhh…..  Childhood memories…





“Traditionally” made with rum. Depending on your taste.

Coconut Sticks
Gericht: Adventskalender 2017, Biscuits and Cookies
  • 40 g butter softened
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 125 g flour
  • 15 g cacao powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 100 ml milk
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
For the dip
  • 200 g bittersweet chocolate chopped
  • 150 g coconut oil
  • 200 ml milk
  • 80 g icing sugar
  • 1-2 shot rum
For the coat
  • 250 g coconut flakes
  1. Whisk butter, sugar and egg.

  2. Sieve flour, baking powder and cacao powder, add with milk and lemon juice to butter-sugar-egg-mixture.

  3. Pour on a backing tray with baking frame (about 20 x 30 cm) and spread evenly. Or use a baking dish (casserole) with baking paper.

  4. Bake in preheated oven at 170° C for 25 minutes.

  5. Let it cool down.

The next day
  1. Cut it in sticks (about 2 x 4 cm, or smaller)

  2. Put chocolate, coconut oil, milk, icing sugar and rum in a pot and warm up till melted. Stirring to avoid sticking.

  3. Dip the sticks into the chocolate mixture and roll in coconut flakes.
