Coffee Chocolate Ice Cream

This is a very creamy, really tasty ice cream that is not made using an ice cream machine. The taste and creaminess can definitely compete with the ice cream you buy. I find it even better. Especially now when the temperature rises, quick and easy.

It’s quickly stirred, then placed in the freezer for at least 5 hours, then ENJOY!!

The creamy consistence comes from the sweetened condensed milk. Do not count the calories :-), but avoid eating the whole box at once. 🙂

Generally, ice cream that is not made with an ice cream machine should normally be stirred every half hour. This is in this case not necessary.

Coffee Chocolate Ice Cream
  • 100 g dark chocolate couverture
  • 4 tsp instant coffee powder
  • 1 tsp hot water
  • 400 ml sweetened condensed milk
  • a pinch of salt
  • 400 ml single cream
  1. Melt couverture over bain-marie.

  2. Disolve instant coffee powder in 1 tsp of hot water.

  3. Whisk cream until stiff.

  4. Mix melted couverture, sweetened condensed milk, disolved coffee and salt in a bowl.

  5. Fold in whisked cream.

  6. Pour in a closeable box.

  7. Place in freezer for minimum 5 hours.


I use an empty 900 ml ice cream box.
