Apple Cinnamon Treats
This Apple Cinnamon Treat is fruity, light, not too sweet and really delicious! It goes just as well with a festive coffee table as with a casual coffee klatch with friends. Big and small alike, like this great cake.
We brought some to friends we really hadn’t seen for a long time, the Apple Cinnamon Treats didn’t last long. 🙂
I got this recipe from my aunty, she also loves them.
- 4 eggs
- 250 g sugar
- 125 ml oil
- 125 ml water
- 250 g flour
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- 750 ml apple juice
- 2 sachets of custard powder
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 4 big apples (diced)
- 400 g cream (single or double)
- some cinnamon powder
-
Whisk eggs and sugar until white and creamy.
-
Stir in oil and water briefly.
-
Fold in flour and baking powder.
-
Spread on a baking tray with baking paper.
-
Bake in preheated oven at 200°C for about 10 minutes.
-
Leave to cool.
-
Prepare a custard cream: Mix some apple juice with the custard powder and the sugar. Heat the rest of the apple juice in a pot, stir in the custard powder mixture and bring to boil while stirring.
-
Leave to cool a bit and fold in the diced apples.
-
Spread on the sponge.
-
Put in fridge to cool.
-
Whisk the cream until stiff and spread on the cold cake.
-
Lightly sprinkle with cinnamon.
Enjoy baking!
