Classic Chocolate Cookies
These chocolate cookies are just perfect, a little soft on the inside and deliciously crispy on the outside.
I used half white and half brown sugar for this. The white sugar makes the cookies crispy and the brown sugar makes the cookies soft and gives it a slight caramel flavor.
Typical is also the baking soda, which gives it this special taste of American cookies.
This cookie dough is very quickly stirred and using an ice cream scoop, the dough can be portioned and placed on the tray, just super!
Now lets get to work on that cookie recipe!!!
- 250 g softened butter
- 150 g sugar, white
- 150 g sugar, brown
- a pinch of salt
- some vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 400 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 200 g chocolate drops or chopped chocolate
Beat softened butter, sugar (white and brown), salt and vanilla until creamy and light.
Stir in eggs, one at a time.
Mix in flour, baking powder, baking soda and chocolate drops.
Using an ice cream scoop, place balls on the baking sheet with baking paper. Leaving enough space inbetween.
Bake in preheated oven at 180° C for about 10 to 13 minutes.
Leave to cool on the baking tray.
Store in a cookie box.
